TIMBROOK AND INGRAM NAMED WINNERS OF REGIONAL DII CCA SCHOLAR-ATHLETE AWARDS
August 31, 2010 NEW HAVEN, Conn. Sixteen regional winners of the NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners Association (CCA) Scholar-Athlete of the Year award were announced today and a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) student-athlete won both the male and female awards for the East Region. Kyrie Timbrook of Caldwell College and Malcolm Ingram of Philadelphia University garnered the prestigious honors. Both are now eligible for the national award, which will be announced later in September. The CACC is one of four conferences to win both the male and female regional awards. The East Region is composed of the CACC, Northeast-10 Conference and East Coast Conference.

THREE CACC CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS RANKED IN EAST REGION
August 25, 2010 NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Three Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) cross country teams are ranked in the East Region according to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) preseason poll. Two womens teams are ranked in No. 6 Philadelphia University and No. 10 Georgian Court University. The Felician College men stand ninth.
CONCORDIA PICKED TO REPEAT IN CACC WOMEN'S TENNIS
August 24, 2010 NEW HAVEN, Conn. (Aug. 24, 2010) Concordia (N.Y) College has been picked to repeat as regular-season champion in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Womens Tennis in 2010, according to balloting conducted by the nine head coaches. The Clippers garnered eight first-place votes and 80 total points. Goldey-Beacom College finished second with 61 points, while Holy Family University was one point behind with 60 points.
WILMINGTON CHOSEN FIRST IN CACC MEN'S SOCCER PRESEASON POLL
August 19, 2010 NEW HAVEN, Conn. Wilmington University, which is ranked 15th in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) preseason poll, has been voted first in the 2010 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Mens Soccer Preseason Poll. The poll was conducted by the 12 CACC head coaches. Dominican College was selected second. Holy Family University, Post University and Bloomfield College were chosen third, fourth and fifth, respectively, and were separated by only two votes. Six schools garnered at least one first-place vote.
CALDWELL AND GEORGIAN COURT FAVORED IN 2010 CACC VOLLEYBALL
August 18, 2010 NEW HAVEN, Conn. Caldwell College and Georgian Court University are the favorites to win their respective division championships in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) volleyball this season according to balloting conducted by the 14 head coaches. Both the Cougars and Lions picked up 13 first place votes and finished with 97 total points. |
