EVAN DAVIS NAMED BASEBALL ASSISTANT AT FELICIAN

RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Evan Davis of Morristown has been named an assistant baseball coach at Felician College, head coach Chris Langan announced today.
Davis comes to Felician after one years as an assistant at Nyack College, helping the Warriors to the 2009 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference playoffs. He also is the head coach of the New Jersey Pilots of the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League (ACBL), a wood-bat college summer league. He guided the Pilots to a runner-up finish in the ACBL in 2009.
Davis is among the all-time leaders in home runs and runs batted in at Morristown High, where he was an all-state selection as a senior. He is a 2006 graduate of West Virginia University, earning a BA in sports management. He has previous coaching experience as an assistant at Morristown High.
Felician, an NCAA Division II member, plays in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. The Golden Falcons posted a won-lost record of 24-24 in 2009, and tied for fifth place in the CACC with a 14-13 league mark.
