All of his seven hits on the week drove in a run. He earned a .560 on-base percentage and collected two hits in each end of a double-header against Chestnut Hill, driving in three runs and scoring twice.

On the offensive side, junior designated hitter Luis Buron and outfielder Alberto Ruiz posted arguably their best weeks of the 2011 season, hitting .353 over the four-game span with six hits apiece and a .389 on-base percentage. Buron provided the power for the Deacons’ attack, slugging .529 and providing the game-winning homer in the club’s 2-1 victory over Nyack in Game One of the doubleheader. Junior outfielder Jason Luzzi hit .333 for the week, slugging .500 and notching a .467 on-base percentage.

Dan Bartlett blanked Felician in Game 1, allowing seven hits while striking out five in a 3-0 win to improve to a team-best 5-1. Robert Bennetti pitched the final two innings for the save. In the second game, Chris DeRogatis gave up just three hits in 7 1/3 innings to lead Caldwell to a 1-0 triumph. Again Bennetti came on in relief and closed the door for his fourth save of the season.
