BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (March 15, 2017) - Felician University baseball standout Ronnie Grant on Wednesday was named the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) East Region Hitter of the Week for his outstanding offensive performance last week for the Golden Falcons.
The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Week, Grant went 7-for-11 (.636 batting average) and slugged 1.091 on the week. He was 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI and a run scored on March 7, as Felician defeated No. 1 nationally-ranked Nova Southeastern, 14-10. Grant also reached base a fourth time in that contest, as he was hit by a pitch. Three days later, he went 4-for-5 with a double and two triples to lead the Golden Falcons to a 12-3 non-conference win over Caldwell. On the week, Grant also scored four runs.
