BALDO NAMED CACC GOLF PLAYER AND ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Andrew Baldo of Wilmington University has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Golf Player and Rookie of the Week for the week ending Sunday, April 17.
Baldo, a freshman from Landenberg, Pa., was the individual champion at last week’s CACC Championship, shooting a two-round total of 145 (70, 75). Baldo defeated three-time defending champ, David McGregor of Post University, by one stroke. Baldo helped lead the Wildcats to their first CACC Golf Championship.
Honorable Mention
David McGregor, Post (Sr., Helensburgh, Scotland) - Placed second at the CACC Championship, falling short of medalist honors by one stroke. Shot rounds of 71 and 75.
Dan Ott, Wilmington (So., Pilesgrove, NJ) - Carded rounds of 74 and 76 to finish third at the CACC Championship last week.
CACC Team Notes
Concordia - The Clippers played in their first CACC Championship this past week. Out of the 11 teams the Clippers placed 4th just a few strokes behind Goldey-Beacom College. One of the Clippers, Jeffrey Schaller, earned his first All-CACC team honor as Head Coach Scott Allen was named Coach of the Year. The Clippers are currently ranked 10th in the region.
Felician - Felician matched its best-ever finish at the CACC Championship by finishing sixth. The Golden Falcons were also sixth in 2010. Under coach Ben DiNallo, Felician was voted to its third consecutive team sportsmanship award. DiNallo was also the coach of the previous Golden Falcon team to win that honor, the 2007-08 women’s basketball squad. Felician has added a tri-match on April 25 at Chestnut Hill with Philadelphia University.
Philadelphia - Leading the Rams was junior Ryan O’Donnell who shot a 163 in the two-round CACC Golf Championship this past week at the Whitemarsh Country Club taking the top spot for PhilaU and tying for 21st overall. The Rams head back to The ACE Club to host a tri-match between Concordia College and Baptist Bible College on Tuesday (4/19).
