WILMINGTON, DE - On Friday, September 13, the Goldey-Beacom College men's basketball team teamed up with some workers from Habitat for Humanity in Wilmington. The team assisted them for eight hours with many different jobs. They took out trash, put up dry wall, and shoveled dirt.

"It was a great experience for us because we did a good deed to help others who are not as fortunate as we are. By us doing this it also helps us work on a lot as a team, like communication and working hard. We all worked together to complete a task and we did it. I liked it because we were giving back to the community and it was a great day to help others," stated basketball team captain Sam McDuffie.

This was a great experience for our team," said head coach Chuck Hammond. "We wanted to get out and work as a team in an environment where we were giving back to a community that shows Goldey-Beacom College such great support. We couldn't think of a better chance to give back than to work with Habitat for Humanity. I thought the guys did a great job working together and generously donated their time to provide affordable housing to a very deserving family. I am very proud of their efforts"
