Nyack, N.Y. (April 12, 2018) -- Men's Basketball Head Coach Jason Crafton has been selected to serve as the Head Coach for the Athletes in Action Team (AIA) that will travel to Auckland, New Zealand from July 26th to August 11th. The team will be comprised of NCAA Division I & II student-athletes from across the country. During their trip the AIA team will compete in 6-8 games against club and university teams. Additionally, they will conduct clinics, support local campus ministry outreaches, and share times of fellowship.
"I'm honored to have been chosen for this tremendous opportunity to help spread the gospel through basketball. I've heard so many life changing stories from past trips with AIA and for me to become a part of the mission is truly humbling. I'd like to thank Paul Mayes, Jason Stankus and James Bolin for trusting in me to serve on this years journey to New Zealand. I'm looking forward to training camp in July to start preparing our team mentally, physically, and spiritually for an exciting experience." -Coach Crafton

More on Athletes in Action:
Athletes in Action was founded in 1966 and made its mission "to build spiritual movements everywhere through the platform of sports so that everyone knows someone who truly follows Jesus." The Athletes in Action website states the following:
"We dream of a day when there are Christ-followers on every team, in sports, in every nation. We believe this is possible when organizations and individuals -- who want every athlete to know someone who truly follows Jesus -- work together toward the common goal of furthering God's kingdom. Sports is a universal language. Everyone, regardless of race, culture, socio-economic status or religious conviction, understands the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat."
