FELICIAN MEN'S SOCCER SIGNS DEFENSIVE HELP

RUTHERFORD, N.J. - High school seniors Christopher Giordano of Staten Island, N.Y., and Davide Lo Bue of Elmwood Park have signed national letters of intent to continue their soccer careers at Felician College, Felician coach Patrick Snyder announced today.
Giordano, a 6-foot, 175-pound defender, was the sweeper back for St. Peter's Boys High School, helping the Eagles to two Staten Island championships. He also participated in basketball in baseball, winning two borough titles with the basketball team. A National Honor Society Member, Giordano plays club soccer for Staten Island United. At Felician, he expects to major in business administration and also intends to play baseball.
Lo Bue had 15 shutouts in 23 games as a senior goalkeeper for Don Bosco Prep of Ramsey, leading his team to the county finals. The 5-foot-7, 160-pounder will enroll in Felician's pre-medical program. His brother, Alex, attends Felician.
"Both Chris and Davide come from programs that have achieved the type of excellence that we are building towards here at Felician," said Snyder, entering his third season. "They will be welcome additions to our team in the fall."
Felician, an NCAA Division II member, plays in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. The Golden Falcons registered a 6-10-1 won-lost-tied record in 2008, an improvement of three victories over the previous season.
