MORA TABBED MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

NEW HAVEN, CT - Ruben Mora of Bloomfield College has been tabbed Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, April 5. Philadelphia University freshman Adrian Torroella-Cruz picked up Rookie of the Week accolades.

Mora, a sophomore from Mexico City, Mexico, led the Deacons to a 2-1 week by going 3-0 at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles. He gave up only three total games in singles and seven in doubles for the week.

Torroella-Cruz, a freshman from Gainesville, FL, went 3-0 at both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles in an undefeated week for the Rams.

Honorable Mention

Adrian Avena, Chestnut Hill (Fr., 6-0, Vineland, NJ) - Went 2-1 in both No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles last week

Roger Van Scyoc, USP (Fr., 5-6, Palmyra, PA) - Posted a 2-0 singles record last week and a 1-1 doubles mark.

CACC Notes

Bloomfield - Sophomore Ruben Mora went 6-0 last week and helped lead the Deacons by going 2-0 over Post University in the program's first ever 9-0 sweep.
