NEW HAVEN, Conn. (October 10, 2017) -- A trio of Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) softball programs were recently named 2016-17 NFCA/Easton All-Academic Teams for posting impressive team-wide cumulative grade point averages following the 2016-17 academic year.
The trio included Holy Family University in 23rd place with a GPA of 3.510, Caldwell University in 53rd (3.372) and Georgian Court University in 59th (3.344). The list released by the NFCA featured 86 schools across all of NCAA Division II.
The academic honor for Caldwell comes on the heels of the Cougars winning the 2017 CACC Championship and advancing to the NCAA Division II East Region Tournament. Holy Family advanced to last season's CACC tournament and was once again one of the top performing programs in the conference.
