Five CACC Track & Field/Cross Country Teams Earn All-Academic Status from USTFCCCA

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (July 27, 2018) -- Three women's track & field teams and two men's squads from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) were named All-Academic Teams by the United States Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) this week, as announced by the national organization. The three women's teams to be honored included Chestnut Hill College, Georgian Court University and the University of the Sciences, while the CHC and USciences men's teams were lauded as well.

On the women's side, USciences (under the guidance of head coach Richard DiGiacomo) led the way with a team-wide grade point average of 3.50. GCU was next at 3.26, while CHC followed up with a mark of 3.10. Georgian Court is led by head coach Mike Murawski, while Chestnut Hill is guided by Philip Reilly.

USciences also led the way on the men's side with a GPA of 3.36, while the Griffins followed at 3.01. Team GPAs took into account student-athlete grades/GPAs from the 2017-18 academic year.
