NEW YORK, N.Y. (February 16, 2017) -- Caldwell University women's basketball junior Kristen Drogsler added to her weekly accolades as over the last few days she was named the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association Player of the Week for Division II-III and the ECAC Division II Player of the Week. It is her second Met Basketball Writers Player of the Week award this season. She was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Week on Monday.
Drogsler helped lead Caldwell to a pair of conference road victories last week. She averaged 29.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 3.0 blocks, while shooting 63.6% from the field and 57.9% from downtown.
Drogsler tallied 26 points, five rebounds, five assists and three blocks in the Cougars win over Nyack College on Tuesday night. She posted her fourth double-double of the season as she finished with 33 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Philadelphia University on Saturday. Drogsler chipped in eight assists and three blocks, while shooting 11-for-17 from the field and 8-for-11 from downtown in Saturday's victory.
