2009 CACC Women's Lacrosse Weekly Award Winners

March 9

Player of the Week: Alley Abbate, Georgian Court (Jr., M, Oceanport, NJ) - Scored five goals and two assists for seven points in GCU's season-opening victory over Kutztown. She scored her five goals on eight shots and picked up one ground ball.

Rookie of the Week: Taylor Peltzer, Philadelphia (Fr., A, Holland, PA) - Tallied five goals in two games and got off nine total shots. She picked up seven ground balls and forced two turnovers. She posted four goals in a 15-10 loss at Bentley.

March 16

Player of the Week: Katie Donovan, Chestnut Hill (Sr., A, 5-6, Conshohocken, PA) - Tied an NCAA Division II single-game record with 13 goals in a victory over American International College. She followed with five goals in a CACC-opening victory over Holy Family. She tallied 18 goals on 27 shots and four assists to lead the Griffins to a 2-0 week.

Rookie of the Week: Mary Sing, Wilmington (Fr., A, 5-11, Lewes, DE) - Recorded six goals and six assists in two victories last week for the Wildcats, including three goals and five assists against American International. She also had three goals and one assist at St. Thomas Aquinas.

March 23

Player of the Week: Michelle O'Hanlon, Philadelphia (So., M, Springfield, PA) - Led the Lady Rams to a 3-1 conference record last week with 16 goals and one assist. She tallied seven goals against Wilmington and four goals and one assist at Dominican. She collected six ground balls and seven draw controls.

Rookie of the Week: Taylor Peltzer, Philadelphia (Fr., A, Holland, PA) - Recorded 10 goals and two assists last week. She tallied five goals in a win over Dominican and scored two goals against both Georgian Court and Wilmington.

March 30

Player of the Week: Ryan McGrath, Georgian Court (So., A, Manasquan, NJ) - Tallied 11 points in a 2-0 week for the Lions. She recorded three goals and three assists against Wilmington and added three goals and two helpers against Holy Family. She scored her six goals on just 10 shots.

Rookie of the Week: Aubree Williams, Dominican (Fr., M, Great Meadows, NJ) - Notched 20 points in three games last week, including seven goals versus Chestnut Hill. She also had six goals and one assist at Wilmington.

April 6

Player of the Week: Daryl Carr, Georgian Court (So., A, Brick, NJ) - Led the Lions to a 3-0 week with a total of 16 points behind eight goals and eight assists. She tallied three goals and dished out six assists against Chestnut Hill and added three goals in a win over Philadelphia.

Rookie of the Week: Kory Webster, Wilmington (Fr., M, Abingdon, MD) - Scored nine points in two games last week for the Wildcats. Registered three goals against Chestnut Hill and added four goals at Howard.

April 13

Player of the Week: Carley Glass, Chestnut Hill (Jr., M, Baltimore, MD) - Registered 14 goals in three contests last week, including a nine-goal performance in a win over Dominican. She also recorded eight assists, with four coming against both Dominican and Holy Family. Collected seven ground balls, six draw controls and caused two turnovers.

Rookie of the Week: Gina Mansi, Holy Family (Fr., A, Washington Twp., NJ) - Recorded seven total goals in two games against Wilmington and Chestnut Hill. Scored four times against the Wildcats and added three draw controls and two ground balls.

April 20

Player of the Week: Ryan McGrath, Georgian Court (So., A, Manasquan, NJ - Recorded 10 goals and eight assists in a 3-0 week for the Lions. Tallied five goals and three assists versus Chestnut Hill and added four goals and one assist at Holy Family.

Rookie of the Week: Aubree Williams, Dominican (Fr., A, Great Meadows, NJ) - Posted nine goals and seven assists in three games last week. Netted four goals and one assist against Wilmington and three goals and five assists versus Holy Family.

April 27

Player and Rookie of the Week: Caribeth Shappell, Philadelphia (Fr., M, Lancaster, PA) - Was named MVP of the CACC Tournament after helping Philadelphia win the Championship. She recorded three goals in both CACC Tournament games and added four assists, with three coming in the semi-final victory over Chestnut Hill. Also caused six turnovers.
