WILMINGTON, Del. (November 22, 2025) – South Division No. 2 seed Holy Family University and North Division No. 2 seed University of Bridgeport will meet in the championship final of the 2025 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship tournament. The match will be hosted by Goldey-Beacom College on Sunday at noon at the Joseph West Jones Center.

Holy Family and Bridgeport advanced with semifinal victories on Saturday in Wilmington. The Tigers began the afternoon with a 3-2 win over North No. 1 seed Post University, and the Purple Knights followed by defeating South No. 1 seed, Wilmington University, 3-0. Sunday’s winner will not only be named CACC champion but will earn the conference’s automatic berth into the NCAA Division II East Region Championship tournament.
Holy Family will be seeking its third CACC title, having won most recently in the spring of 2021 coming out of the COVID-19 public health crisis. Bridgeport will be playing for the program’s second crown after having taken the conference championship in 2023. The Tigers and Purple Knights will be meeting in the final for the first time. UB topped Holy Family, 3-0, in the teams’ regular season meeting on October 25 in Philadelphia, Pa.
Tickets for the 2025 CACC Women’s Volleyball Championship final are $10 for adults and $5 for children, senior citizens (65+) and students with valid identification. Children under three years of age will be admitted free.

The Tigers (22-8) jumped out to a 10-3 Set 5 lead before finishing off a 22-25, 25-21, 27-25, 23-25, 15-9 victory. Mackenzie Layton had five of her 23 kills during the deciding set. HFU saved four set points prior to winning Set 3. Shelby Kinzer had 19 kills and 22 digs and Mia Wise produced 57 assists and 10 digs for the winners. Post graduate student Kristina Peric tied a tournament record with 35 kills. Nuri Shahid-Stevenson added seven kills and 11 blocks for the Eagles (25-5).

Bridgeport senior Lucia Tomiello set a tournament record (min. 10 attempts) with an .867 attack percentage, putting down 13 kills during her team’s 25-23, 25-20, 25-17 triumph. Hailey Jessen led a balanced UB offense with 15 kills and added eight digs and three aces, and setter Camdyn Cieszkiewicz collected 42 assists while guiding the Purple Knights (11-17) to hit .361. Karla Nunez-Rivera led Wilmington (19-13) with 14 kills.
