Faillon Repeats as First-Team All-American; Sugiura Makes D2 CCA Third Team

Wilmington Striker Also Elected to United Soccer Coaches Third Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (December 14, 2025) – Wilmington University graduate student Theo Faillon was chosen to the 2025 Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association Men’s Soccer All-America First Team, the D2 CCA announced on Tuesday. Felician University junior Keiji Sugiura was selected to the All-America Third Team. Directors of athletics communications from NCAA Division II institutions and conference offices conducted the voting.

On Thursday, Faillon became a consensus All-American when he was announced as a Division II Third Team honoree of the United Soccer Coaches. Faillon and Sugiura were the only two players from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference to earn 2025 men’s soccer All-America honors.

Faillon, a forward from Allinges, France, is a First-Team D2 CCA All-American for the second consecutive year. In 2025, he produced 15 goals and seven assists. He is tied for second nationally in Division II in goals, and his total of 37 points is also tied for second. Faillon repeated as the CACC and D2 East Region Player of the Year. He helped the Wildcats to a 12-3-6 overall won-lost-tied record and a trip to the NCAA Round of 32.

Sugiura completed the season with nine goals and six assists for the Golden Falcons. A midfielder from Tokyo, Japan, he was third in the CACC and 44th nationally with 1.33 points per game. Sugiura is Felician’s first All-American in men’s soccer since 2001. The Golden Falcons finished with a record of 8-7-3.

The D2 CCA All-America process began at the regional level, with all first-team all-region picks advancing to the national ballot. This is the 19th year of the program.

Founded in 1961, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has been affiliated with NCAA Division II for 20 years. Conference institutions compete for championships in 17 sports – seven for men, nine for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 11 full members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
