Host Jefferson, Holy Family Reach Women's Basketball Final

Sunday's CACC Championship Game Will Be All-Philadelphia Affair

PHILADELPHIA (March 8, 2025) – The championship final of the 2025 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women’s Basketball Championship tournament will be an all-Philadelphia affair. South Division No. 1 seed Thomas Jefferson University and South No. 2 seed Holy Family University will meet for the title on Sunday at noon at Jefferson’s Athletic, Recreation and Convocation Center.

Holy Family and Jefferson advanced with semifinal victories on Saturday in Philadelphia. The Tigers, the No. 25-ranked team in the latest national NCAA Division II media poll, began the afternoon with a 58-56 victory over North Division No. 1 seed Dominican University New York. The Rams, the tournament’s host and defending champion, followed with a 63-54 triumph over North No. 2 Caldwell University. Sunday’s winner will not only be named CACC champion but will earn the conference’s automatic berth into the NCAA D-II East Region Championship tournament.

Both schools have long championship histories. Jefferson will be seeking its sixth CACC title. Holy Family will be playing for the program’s 10th conference crown, having won most recently in 2015. The Rams and Tigers are meeting in the final for the fourth time (2007 HFU, 2014 HFU, 2020 Jefferson). The teams split their 2024-25 regular-season meetings, with each winning at home.

Tickets the 2025 CACC Women’s Basketball Championship final are $10 for adults and $5 for children, senior citizens (65+) and students with valid identification. Children under three years of age will be admitted free. See the links above to follow the tournament online, purchase championship apparel, and buy tickets.
