NEW HAVEN, Conn. (June 5, 2025) – Three Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women’s lacrosse players were named NCAA Division II All-Americans by USA Lacrosse magazine, the publication recently announced. Wilmington University junior Ella Royer was a Third Team selection, while a pair of players from Dominican University New York, graduate student Grace DeStasio and junior Madelyn Grella, attained Honorable Mention status.
Royer, a midfielder, enjoyed a standout two-way season for the Wildcats. She set the NCAA Division II record for goals in a season with 122 and finished second nationally with 149 points. Royer also led the CACC and was eighth in Division II with 7.16 draw controls per game and was among conference leaders in ground balls (3.16) and caused turnovers (1.89) per contest.
With DeStasio and Grella heading the attack, Dominican won the CACC championship and reached the round of 16 of the NCAA D-II Tournament. DeStasio totaled 103 points on 87 goals and 16 assists, finishing sixth nationally among D-II players in goals. Grella led Division II in assists (91) and points (175) and was eighth with 84 goals.

The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its affiliation with NCAA Division II. Conference institutions compete for championships in 18 sports – eight for men, nine for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 12 members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes Bloomfield College of Montclair State University, the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
