2026 CACC Softball Championship to Go Through Georgian Court

Four First-Round Winners To Vie for Conference Crown in Lakewood

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (August 5, 2025) – Georgian Court University has been chosen to host the 2026 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Softball Championship tournament. The four-team, double-elimination final round of the event will be held from May 7-9 at SEI Investments Field on the Georgian Court campus in Lakewood, N.J.

The tournament will begin with eight teams, as determined by the regular-season standings. The CACC Championship gets underway with four best-of-three series on May 2-3 (dates subject to change), each hosted by the higher seeds. The winners of those four series will advance to GCU for the remainder of the tournament. The Lions will be hosting the CACC Championship for the first time since 2023.

“Georgian Court University is proud to host the CACC Softball Championship once again in 2026,” said GCU Director of Athletics Dan Sempkowski. “Hosting this event was a constant here for a long time, going back to when both of our fields were required for the eight-team double-elimination. This tournament is always a great competition among NCAA East Region contenders, and we’re looking forward to it.”

Wilmington University is the event’s three-time defending champion. The winner of the 2026 tournament once again automatically qualifies for the NCAA Division II East Regional Championship. Wilmington was the East Region champion in 2023 and 2024 and has reached the super-regional championship series in each of the last four years.

Admission for all days, including first-round play, of the championship is $10 for adults and $5 for children, students, and senior citizens. The CACC Network will also provide live coverage of all games.
