NEW HAVEN, Conn. (November 4, 2026) – No. 1 seed Thomas Jefferson University and No. 3 seed Georgian Court University advanced out of Wednesday’s semifinal round of the 2026 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women’s Soccer Championship tournament. Jefferson and Georgian Court will meet in the championship final on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Wilmington University Athletics Complex in Newark, Del.
Tournament details can be viewed on the CACC’s Championship Central webpage.
Jefferson defeated No. 5 seed Chestnut Hill College, 2-0, to reach the final for the second time in three years. Georgian Court went on the road and won a penalty-kick shootout over No. 2 seed University of Bridgeport, 3-2, after the teams played to a 0-0 draw. The winner of Saturday’s match will not only be named the CACC champion but will claim the conference’s automatic berth into the NCAA Division II East Region Championship tournament.
Both programs have rich tournament histories. Jefferson will be seeking its eighth CACC championship, having won most recently in 2024. GCU, while playing for its first title since 2017, has claimed 12 conference crowns, including three under current head coach Jim Moore. The teams are playing each other in the final for the third time, having split the previous two meetings (2008-GCU; 2019-Jefferson). The Rams defeated the Lions in the teams’ 2026 regular-season matchup, 3-2, on October 18 in Philadelphia, Pa.
Tickets for the 2026 CACC Women’s Soccer Championship final are $10 for adults and $5 for children, senior citizens (65+) and students with valid identification. Children under three years of age will be admitted free. Tickets can be purchased in advance at https://events.hometownticketing.com/boxoffice/caccathletics.
No. 1 JEFFERSON 2, No. 5 CHESTNUT HILL 0
In Philadelphia, neither team was dangerous during an opening period which saw the sides combine for just two shots. The Rams (15-1-2), who re-entered the national Division II coaches poll at No. 25 a day earlier, started to have the better of play in the second half, and finally cashed on a Dillan Sorino goal during the 76th minute. Jalina Gonzalez provided insurance with 4:29 remaining, with Sophia Henry assisting on both Ram markers. Chestnut Hill, which was held to three shots, finished 7-7-4.
No. 3 GEORGIAN COURT 0, No. 2 BRIDGEPORT 0 (GCU advances on PKs, 3-2)
In Bridgeport, Conn., Georgian Court goalkeeper Delaine Wilkinson made a career-high 12 saves during the teams’ 110-minute scoreless deadlock, then stopped UB’s final attempt of the shootout to send the Lions to the final. GCU (10-6-3) survived a 31-7 shot disadvantage, including 18-3 in the first half. Chelsea Lavezzo, Addison Agee, and Hailey Funkhouser converted in the shootout for the Lions. CACC Goalkeeper of the Year Angelina Griva had three saves for Bridgeport (11-2-6), which hopes for good news in the NCAA Selection Show on Nov. 9.
