Holy Family Completes Perfect CACC Women's Basketball Season, is No. 1 Seed for Playoffs

CACC Championship Tournament Begins on Tuesday

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (February 28, 2026) – Holy Family University highlighted the final day of the 2025-26 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women’s basketball regular season by completing the conference schedule undefeated. Following Saturday’s games, Commissioner Dan Mara announced the field and schedule for the 2026 CACC Championship tournament, for which Holy Family will be the No. 1 seed.

The eight-team, single-elimination event begins with the quarterfinals on March 3. Caldwell University will host the semifinals and finals on Saturday, and Sunday, March 7 and 8. Tuesday’s games will be held at the sites of the higher seeds. Holy Family (25-3, 20-0), the tournament’s defending champion, will host No. 8 seed University of Bridgeport (10-15, 8-12) at 6 p.m. in northeast Philadelphia. At the same time, the CACC’s other two Philadelphia schools will meet as No. 5 seed Thomas Jefferson University (17-11, 11-9) travels northwest to take on No. 4 seed Chestnut Hill College (15-13, 12-8).

The remaining two first-round matchups will tip off at 7:30 p.m. in northern New Jersey. No. 2 seed Felician University (21-7, 15-5) will entertain in-state rival and No. 7 seed Georgian Court University (11-17, 10-10) in Rutherford, while No. 3 seed Caldwell (20-8, 13-7) welcomes No. 6 seed Post University (14-12, 11-9) to Essex County.

The semifinals are set for Saturday at Caldwell’s George R. Newman Center at 5 and 7 p.m. Caldwell will also host the championship game on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The winner of the 2026 CACC Women’s Basketball Championship will earn the league’s automatic berth into the NCAA Division II East Region Championship tournament.

Tickets for all rounds of the 2026 CACC Women’s Basketball Championship are $10 for adults, and $5 for children, senior citizens (65+) and students with valid identification.
