Field Set for 2026 CACC Women's Bowling Championship

Dominican Emerges to Win Regular-Season Title, Claim Tournament No. 1 Seed

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (March 2, 2026) – Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Commissioner Dan Mara has released the field for the 2026 CACC Women’s Bowling Championship Tournament following the conclusion of the Spring 2026 CACC Regular Season Tournament on Sunday. The four-team, double-elimination conference championship event will be hosted by Chestnut Hill College on March 21-22 at Pike Lanes, in Southampton, Pa.

Dominican University New York (67-32, 16-4 CACC) has claimed its first CACC regular-season title and will be the top seed for the postseason tournament. Caldwell University (31-19, 15-5) has qualified as the No. 2 seed, and Felician University (55-38, 14-6), the 2025 CACC champion, returns to defend its crown as the No. 3 seed. Wilmington University (12-46, 6-14) won its final Baker match on Sunday to earn the No. 4 seed via tiebreaker.

Six CACC members sponsor women’s bowling. The four playoff qualifiers were determined by dual-match won-lost records during a pair of designated regular-season events. The fall meet was hosted by Dominican in November, and the spring tournament by Felician on Saturday and Sunday. Heading into Sunday’s final match, the Chargers had clinched a share of the regular-season championship, then defeated Felician, 882-858, to take the title outright.

The CACC Women’s Bowling Championship will be contested in a double-elimination, “mega-match” format over two days. A mega-match is a best-of-three competition in which the same two schools stage a five-player traditional match, a five-game Baker match, and, if necessary, a best-of-7 Baker match.

The CACC is sponsoring a championship in women’s bowling for the fourth year. Caldwell won both the 2023 and 2024 conference titles before Felician took last year’s championship. The winner of the 2026 CACC Championship tournament will qualify automatically for the NCAA National Collegiate Bowling Championship.
