Nine from CACC Named All-Region in Softball

UB's Jones, Felician's Torres are Consensus First-Teamers

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (May 25, 2026) – Nine Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference softball student-athletes have been selected to at least one of the two major 2026 postseason Division II All-East Region programs. That total includes six consensus choices who were honored by both the National Fastpitch Coaches Association and the Division II Conference Commissioners Association. CACC regular-season champion Caldwell University led the conference with three honorees.

University of Bridgeport third baseman Mya Jones and Felician University designated player Kimberly Torres were consensus First Team performers. Jones, the CACC Player of the Year, helped lead Bridgeport to the conference championship, batting .434 with seven home runs and 36 RBI. Torres hit a league-best .448 with 21 doubles, 13 homers, and 47 RBI.

Four CACC players were consensus Second-Team honorees. They include Caldwell University pitcher Haleigh Fisher, Wilmington University outfielder Addison Sabo and teammate Maddie Vollmar at utility/pitcher, and Bridgeport first baseman Paityn Thibodeaux.

Thomas Jefferson University second baseman Liv Stevens and Calwell outfielder Kendall Mazur were voted onto the NCFA Second Team. Meanwhile, Caldwell outfielder Kenzie Nazionale was a Second Team choice of the D2CCA, whose all-region teams are administered and voted upon by the region’s directors of athletics communications.

The NCAA Division II East Region consists of the CACC, East Coast Conference and Northeast 10 Conference and contains 26 softball-playing institutions.

 

The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its affiliation with NCAA Division II. Conference institutions compete for championships in 18 sports – eight for men, nine for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 12 members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes Bloomfield College of Montclair State University, the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
