NEW HAVEN, Conn. (July 21, 2026) – Five Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men’s basketball programs have earned the 2025-26 National Association of Basketball Coaches Team Academic Excellence Award, the NABC announced last week. The CACC also saw 37 of its men’s basketball student-athletes from seven schools named to the 2025-26 NABC Honors Court.
The NABC’s academic awards are presented annually to teams and athletes from all levels of college basketball. The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize programs that completed the 2025-26 academic year with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. More than 400 programs received the award this season, including Chestnut Hill College, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, and Post University from the CACC.
The NABC Honors Court includes junior, senior, and graduate student men’s basketball players who finished the 2025-26 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. Founded in 1961, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has been affiliated with NCAA Division II for 21 years. Conference institutions compete for championships in 18 sports – seven for men, 10 for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 11 full members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
