PLAYER OF THE WEEK
BRIDGET DICKSON, Holy Family (JR, F, Somerdale, N.J.) – Became the first Division II female this season to score four goals in a game against another D-II team, accounting for all of the Tigers’ offense in Saturday’s 4-2 win over Dominican to cap her team’s 2-0 week. Also scored during a 2-0 victory at Post on Sept. 16 for a 10-point week.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
BRAELYN JALAYER, Wilmington (FR, M, Lake Elsinore, Calif.) – Combined for three goals during a 2-0 week for the Wildcats. After recording a brace during a 5-0 home victory over Caldwell on Sept. 16 to open the season’s CACC play, found the net again as WilmU topped Post, 5-0, on Saturday. Was active with nine shots on week, scoring on all three of her shots on goal.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
MARIA LEGUIZAMON, Wilmington (SR, D, Bogota, Colombia) – Played all 180 minutes on a Wildcat back line which combined to allow only five shots on goal during a pair of shutout wins. Picked up three assists on the week, including helpers on the first two goals of Saturday’s 5-0 home victory over Post.
GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
ANGELINA GRIVA, Bridgeport (SR, GK, Zakynthos, Greece) – Backed a pair of Purple Knight shutouts, facing 11 shots and making five saves. Ran her shutout total to six for the season as UB topped Georgian Court, 4-0, on Sept. 15 and Chestnut Hill, 1-0, on Saturday.
HONOR ROLL
AVA BROCHON, Jefferson – Picked up a five-save shutout against Caldwell for her third clean sheet in as many starts this season.
ASHLEY CERQUEIRA, Felician – Broke a scoreless tie with a 70th-minute goal in an eventual 2-0 win over Lincoln to cap a 1-1 week.
LORENZA D’ANDREA, Chestnut Hill – Enjoyed an active week with 10 shots, paying off with the only goal of a 1-0 Griffin win over Dominican.
MARIA EMPADINHAS, Goldey-Beacom – Turned in an 11-save shutout against Felician as part of a 1-1 week. Faced 36 shots and made 19 saves with an .864 percentage for the week.
HALEY ESPOSITO, Chestnut Hill – Allowed only one goal and made five saves during a 1-1 week in net.
MILEY JONES, Goldey-Beacom – Her 65th-minute marker was the difference in a 1-0 victory over Felician.
JANA MULLER, Bridgeport – Had a goal during each match of the Purple Knights’ 2-0 week.
