NEW HAVEN, Conn. (October 1, 2026) – Felician University has been selected first in the 2026-27 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women’s Bowling Preseason Coaches Poll. The results of the balloting were announced today by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara.
Felician reached the final of the 2025-26 CACC Championship tournament, falling to Dominican University New York. The Golden Falcons, who had won the 2024-25 conference title, received five first-place votes 25 total points in the poll. Caldwell University earned the other first-place vote and was chosen second in the poll with 21 points.
Holy Family University and Wilmington University tied for third place with 14 points each. Rounding out the poll were Dominican (5th place, nine points), and Chestnut Hill College, (6th, seven points).
The CACC is in its fifth year of sponsoring women’s bowling as a championship sport. The regular season begins the weekend of October 10-11. The CACC will feature a pair of regular-season tournaments in mid-November and late February that will determine the four teams that will advance to the postseason championship.
The 2026-27 CACC Women’s Bowling Championship will be hosted by Chestnut Hill College on March 20-21 at Pike Lanes, in Southampton, Pa. The conference champion will automatically qualify for the 2027 NCAA National Collegiate Championship.

Founded in 1961, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has been affiliated with NCAA Division II for 21 years. Conference institutions compete for championships in 18 sports – seven for men, 10 for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 11 full members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
