NEW HAVEN, Conn. (November 7, 2024) – Post University has won the 2024 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men’s soccer regular-season title and will be the No. 1 seed for the upcoming CACC Men’s Soccer Championship tournament. The seedings and schedule for that event were announced tonight by Commissioner Dan Mara.
The quarterfinals will be staged on Sunday, November 10, at the sites of the higher seeds. All matches will start at 1 p.m. Post (10-4-3, 8-1-2 CACC), which has won the last five conference tournaments in which it has participated, will entertain No. 8 seed Thomas Jefferson University (9-6-3, 4-5-2), and No. 4 seed Caldwell University (8-5-3, 7-3-1) will host No. 5 seed Wilmington University (7-9-2, 6-4-1).
On the other side of the bracket, No. 7 seed Goldey-Beacom College (7-11-0, 6-5-0) will travel to No. 2 seed Georgian Court University (10-7-1, 8-3-0) and No. 6 seed University of Bridgeport (7-7-3, 6-4-1) will be on the road against No. 3 seed Felician University (13-3-2, 7-2-2).
The semifinals will be held on Wednesday, November 13, at 1 p.m. at the sites of the highest remaining seeds. Wilmington is set to host the championship game on Sunday, November 17, at 10 a.m. at its athletics complex in Newark, Del. The winner of the 2024 CACC Men’s Soccer Championship will earn the league’s automatic berth into the NCAA Division II Super-Region 1 Tournament.
Tickets for all rounds of the 2024 CACC Men’s Soccer Championship are $10 for adults, and $5 for children, senior citizens (65+) and students with valid identification. The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its affiliation with NCAA Division II. Conference institutions compete for championships in 18 sports – eight for men, nine for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 12 members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes Bloomfield College of Montclair State University, the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
