UB's Prieditis Named 2026 Men's Soccer Player of Year; All-CACC Teams Announced

Bridgeport's Forsterling, Felician's Bellesi, Kristoffersen and Levine Earn Major Awards

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (November 4, 2026) – University of Bridgeport sophomore Kristians Prieditis has been selected as the 2026 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Year. Prieditis, who was also named to the All-CACC First Team at forward, headlines the all-conference teams and major award winners announced tonight by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara. The voting was conducted by the conference’s 11 head coaches.

Bridgeport freshman Loic Forsterling was voted the 2026 CACC Men’s Soccer Rookie of the year. The other three major awards all went to Felician University. Golden Falcon junior Vittorio Bellesi was chosen the Defensive Player of the Year, and senior teammate Mathias Kristoffersen was named the Goalkeeper of the Year. Felician head coach Brandon Levine was voted the 2026 Athletic Solutions CACC Coach of the Year by his peers. Bellisi and Kristoffersen joined Prieditis on the All-CACC First Team, while Forsterling was a Second-Team honoree at forward.

Prieditis, from Ikskile, Latvia, was the CACC Rookie of the Year in 2025. This season, his 45 points lead all of Division II, and his 18 goals are tied for the top spot nationally. A two-time national player of the week, Prieditis owns five multi-goal games, including a pair of hat tricks. He already has three goals and two assists in the CACC Tournament heading into Saturday’s championship final.

Forsterling has scored five goals on the year, including one each in a victory over nationally-ranked Franklin Pierce University and a tie with nationally-ranked Southern New Hampshire University. The Munich, Germany, native was the CACC Rookie of the Week on Oct. 12.

Bellesi and Kristoffersen were key parts of a Felician defense that posted a 1.10 goals-against average and nine shutouts. The Golden Falcons allowed only two goals in their 10 regular-season CACC matches. Bellesi, of Breno, Italy, was a two-time league Defensive Player of the Week.

Kristoffersen was 6-4-7 on the season with nine solo shutouts. He leads the CACC with a 0.73 GAA, and is among the top five keepers in the country in save percentage at .848. The Skovby, Denmark, resident held a 0.20 GAA and turned in eight shutouts in conference play.

Levine completed his sixth season at Felician. He guided the Golden Falcons to an undefeated CACC regular season (5-0-5) and the No. 3 seed for the conference playoffs. Felician improved by seven points in the standings over a year ago. This year’s Golden Falcon squad was 6-5-8 overall.
