NEW HAVEN, Conn. (December 20, 2024) – Three Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference teams appear in the final 2024 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II National Top 25 Polls. On the men’s side, Felician University is ranked No. 8 and Post University at No. 16. The Thomas Jefferson University women’s soccer team has achieved a final national ranking of No. 11.
The Felician men (17-4-3, 7-2-2), guided by fourth-year head coach Brandon Levine, enjoyed the most successful season in program history. The Golden Falcons won their first CACC championship since 2001, then became the first conference soccer team to advance to the NCAA national quarterfinals. Felician appears in the final NCAA poll for the first time.
Post won the CACC men’s regular-season title and reached the final match of the conference tournament. The Eagles (13-5-5, 8-1-2), led by 20th-year head coach Ted Haley, made their third consecutive appearance in the NCAA Round of 16. Post was ranked No. 14 in the final 2023 United Soccer Coaches D-II poll.
Jefferson (19-1-3, 11-0-0) captured the 2024 CACC women’s championship under second-year head coach Kyle Schumann. The Rams reached the NCAA East Region final (national Round of 16) for the first time in program history, and the No. 11 final ranking is Jefferson’s best in women’s soccer.
United Soccer Coaches is the world’s largest soccer coaches’ association that serves members at every level of the game. The intent of the United Soccer Coaches college rankings program is to stimulate interest in men’s and women’s intercollegiate soccer on a national level.
The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its affiliation with NCAA Division II. Conference institutions compete for championships in 18 sports – eight for men, nine for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 12 members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes Bloomfield College of Montclair State University, the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
