Jefferson Grabs 2025 CACC Men's Cross-Country Crown

Rams Edge Two-Time Defending Champion Wilmington

PHILADELPHIA (October 26, 2025) – By a margin of two points, event host Thomas Jefferson University earned the team title at the 2025 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s Cross-Country Championship race on Sunday morning at Belmont Plateau. Jefferson edged 2023 and 2024 champion Wilmington University, 49-51, for the fifth CACC crown in program history.

Freshman Dylan Boyle was the top Ram finisher, placing third overall in the 66-man field with an 8,000-meter time of 27:08 to earn league Rookie-of-the-Year honors. Senior Chase Watson finished sixth in 27:45, a key result for Jefferson as he was three spots ahead of Wilmington’s second man, erasing Wilmington’s lead resulting from Julian Jones’ individual championship.

The Rams gained another point when freshman Thierno Barry crossed the line a fraction of a second ahead of the Wildcats’ third finisher, 11th overall in 28:12. Right behind in 13th was another Jefferson rookie, Ryan Goldberg, in 28:15. Wilmington athletes finished 14th and 15th, but the Rams locked up the championship when sophomore Shernel Singh came across 16th with a time of 28:41.

Also in the Jefferson lineup were freshman George Hood (19th, 29:19) and sophomore Mitchell Bradley (23rd, 29:46). Goldey-Beacom College finished third in the team standings with 95 points. Complete results are linked above.

Jefferson, led by head coach Dave Thomas, joined its women’s team as 2025 CACC champions. The Rams also captured both conference cross-county titles in 2009, 2014, 2017, and 2021.
