Wilmington Wins 11th CACC Men's Golf Championship

Wildcats Overcome Deficit With Final-Round Surge

WILMINGTON, Del. (October 7, 2025) – Wilmington University has won the 2025-26 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s Golf Championship. The Wildcats posted a team score of 313 during Tuesday’s final around to rise above and pull away from the seven-team field. The tournament was hosed by Goldey-Beacom College Sunday through Tuesday at White Clay Creek Country Club.

Led by eighth-year head coach Mark Hall, a tournament medalist performance by sophomore Noah Wallace, and additional top-10 finishes from freshman Sebastian Ramos and sophomore Josh Freeman, Wilmington produced a 54-hole team score of 945 (+81). Wilmington extended its conference record with the 11th CACC title in the history of its men’s golf program. With the victory, the Wildcats earn the CACC’s automatic qualifier into the 2026 NCAA Division II East/Atlantic Regional Championship next May.

The CACC Championship began with 18-hole rounds on Sunday and Monday. Post led by three shots after round 1, an edge the Eagles extended to four strokes on Monday and eight early Tuesday. But by the turn, Wilmington had moved ahead for good. Ramos led the Wildcats with a one-over-par 73 on Tuesday, followed by Wallace’s 74.

Ramos (234, T-4th) joined Wallace (224) on the All-Tournament Team. Freeman (242) finished 10th and Will Finnerty’s 245 tied for 15th place on the individual leaderboard for Wilmington.

Led by Pablo Hidalgo’s runner-up finish, Felician University moved up one slot on Tuesday to finish in third place in the final standings (960). Goldey-Beacom was fourth (968), followed by Thomas Jefferson University (977), Dominican University New York (983), and Chestnut Hill College (1002).

 

Founded in 1961, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has been affiliated with NCAA Division II for 20 years. Conference institutions compete for championships in 17 sports – seven for men, nine for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 11 full members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
