Theo Faillon has been selected as the 2025 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Year. Faillon, who was also named to the All-CACC First Team at forward, headlines the all-conference teams and major award winners announced today by CACC Commissioner
Dan Mara. The voting was conducted by the conference’s 11 head coaches.

Kristians Prieditis was voted the 2025 CACC Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Year, and senior teammate
Bruno Cakurs was named the Defensive Player of the Year. Post University junior
Leopold Dufaut was chosen as the Goalkeeper of the Year. Cakurs and Dufaut also grabbed All-CACC First-Team honors. Bridgeport head coach
Peter Doneit was selected as the 2025 Athletic Solutions CACC Coach of the Year by his peers, and Post is the winner of the Men’s Soccer Team Sportsmanship Award.
Faillon, from Allinges, Frances, was also the CACC Player of the Year in 2024. This season, his 14 goals and 33 points lead the CACC, with both figures tied for second nationally in NCAA Division II. He has a goal in 12 of his 17 games, including a hat trick at Mercy University on Oct. 8. Faillon also owns five assists and three game-winning goals. He helped lead the Wildcats to a return trip to the CACC semifinals.
Prieditis tops all CACC freshmen with six goals, including a pair of game-winners. He was named the CACC Rookie of the Week for Sept. 8. The Ikskile, Latvia, native scored during Bridgeport’s 2-1 home victory over Dominican University New York in last weekend’s conference quarterfinals.
Cakurs, of Rujiena, Latvia, leads a Purple Knight defense that ranks third in the CACC with a 1.25 goals-against average, a figure that shrinks to 0.90 in conference play. Prieditis and Cakurs will lead UB into a CACC championship game matchup against Post on Saturday.
Dufaut has helped guide the Eagles to their seventh consecutive trip to the CACC final. The Paris, France, resident, ranks second nationally with a .903 save percentage and eighth with a 0.57 goals-against average. The national Division II Player of the Week on Sept. 30, Dufaut owns a 9-1-7 record with seven solo shutouts and 5.25 saves per game.
Doneit is completing his 10
th season with Bridgeport. He guided the Purple Knights to an undefeated CACC regular season (5-0-5) and their second appearance in the in the conference championship final in the last three years. This year’s UB squad is 7-4-8 overall.
Post, led by head coach
Ted Haley, claims the Team Sportsmanship Award for the second time and the first since 2004. The Eagles were the coaches’ choice for demonstrating class and character throughout the regular season.

Founded in 1961, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has been affiliated with NCAA Division II for 20 years. Conference institutions compete for championships in 17 sports – seven for men, nine for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 11 full members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
