PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JAIDEN GUY, Wilmington (JR, G, Townsend, Del.) – Helped lead the Wildcats to their first 2-0 start in nine years. Shot 13 for 19 from the floor and scored 30 points with nine rebounds as Wilmington topped District of Columbia, 93-73, on Friday. The next day, totaled 15 points, nine rebounds and four assists during an 84-83 overtime victory over D’Youville.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
JAYCEN SANTUCCI, Georgian Court (FR, F, Bayville, N.J.) – Shot 57 percent and averaged 13.5 points and 9.0 rebounds during a 1-1 opening weekend for the Lions. Recorded 17 points and 11 boards as the Lions got past Saint Michael’s, 74-70, on Saturday.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
DENIM PERKINS, Wilmington (So, G, Dover, Del.) – From the point guard position, collected five steals during each game of the Wildcats’ 2-0 week. Helped Wilmington force a combined 40 turnovers during victories over District of Columbia and D’Youville on consecutive days. Added 2.5 rebounds per game.
HONOR ROLL
ALEX BATES IV, Jefferson – Averaged 21.5 points on 60-percent shooting during a 2-0 week for the Rams.
NAJEE COURSEY, Holy Family – Was 16 for 22 from the floor (.727) and scored 21.0 points per game as the Tigers got off to a 2-0 start.
CAM EDMONDS, Georgian Court – Scored his 1000th career point during a loss to St. Thomas Aquinas. Averaged 27.0 points during a 1-1 week.
MELVIN EVANS, Caldwell – Produced 23.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per contest during Caldwell’s opening pair of games.
ELIJAH PETERS, Dominican – Helped the Chargers to a 2-0 start with 19.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game on 54-percent shooting from the floor
TRE POWELL, Goldey-Beacom – Averaged 19.5 points and 5.5 assists in helping the Lightning to a 2-0 week.
TAVIAN PULLOCK, Felician – Scored 24.0 points with 3.0 steals per game as the Golden Falcons split a pair of contests.
