Wilmington's Faillon Repeats as D2 CCA East Region Men's Soccer Player of the Year

CACC Places Eight on All-Region Teams, Including Four on First Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (November 30, 2025) – Wilmington University graduate student Theo Faillon has been named the 2025 Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association East Region Men’s Soccer Player of the Year, the CCA released earlier this week. Voting for the D2 CCA Regional Players of the Year and All-Region Teams was conducted by the region’s directors of athletics communications.

Faillon is the regional Player of the Year for the second consecutive season. He headlines eight Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference student-athletes who were voted onto the 2025 D2 CCA All-Region teams, including four First Team honorees. Joining Faillon on the First Team were University of Bridgeport senior Bruno Cakurs, Post University junior Leopold Dufaut, and Felician University junior Keiji Sugiura.

Faillon leads the East Region and is tied for second nationally among Division II players with 15 goals. He also owns seven assists and three game-winning goals. Earlier this month, the Allinges, France, native collected his second consecutive CACC Player of the Year award. Faillon helped Wilmington to the CACC semifinals and the NCAA Round of 32.

Bridgeport, Felician and Post also placed a player on the All-East Region Second Team – senior Enzo Beatrix, senior Kohta Yamanashi, and freshman Agnaldo Germano, respectively. They were joined on the Second Team by Georgian Court University senior Mikey Mallon.

By gaining First Team accolades, Cakurs, Dufaut, Faillon, and Sugiura are now eligible for the All-America ballot. The 2024 D2 CAA All-America soccer teams will be announced on December 9.
