RINDGE, N.H. (November 30, 2025) – Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference at-large representative Thomas Jefferson University was defeated by host Franklin Pierce University, 1-0, during the East Region final of the 2025 NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Championship on Sunday afternoon at Sodexo Field.
Franklin Pierce (15-2-5), the No. 2 seed from the East and an at-large representative of the Northeast 10 Conference, wins the East Region for the second consecutive year, both times advancing past Jefferson in the final. The Rams (17-3-1), the No. 4 seed and the No. 11-ranked team in the most recent national Division II coaches poll, were attempting to become the first CACC women’s soccer team to reach the NCAA national quarterfinals.
On Sunday, the Ravens amassed advantages of 12-5 in shots and 7-2 in corner kicks. The pressure paid off in the 83rd minute on a Jefferson own goal. A crossed ball tipped off a Ram defender and into the net for what proved to be the game’s only score.
Franklin Pierce travels to West Chester University, the No. 2 seed from the Atlantic Region, for its quarterfinal matchup on December 6.
