CACC MEN’S LACROSSE – April 14, 2025

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

JAYDEN RIOS, Felician – Sophomore midfielder/faceoff man went 28 for 31 (90.3 percent) on faceoffs and picked up 26 ground balls during the Golden Falcons’ 18-12 road loss to Holy Family on Saturday. The 26 grounders and 28 faceoffs won are school records and are the highest single-game totals nationally in NCAA Division II this season. Also recorded a goal and an assist.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

JAKE FEENEY, Holy Family – Attackman amassed three goals, five assists and two ground balls during the Tigers’ 18-12 home league victory over Felician on Saturday. Scored or helped on four goals during a 6-0 second-half run allowing HFU to break open a one-goal game.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

RYAN THOMAS, Bridgeport – Junior defender totaled four ground balls, three caused turnovers and an assist during the Purple Knights’ 17-8 home victory over St. Thomas Aquinas on Apr. 9. Followed with seven ground balls, four caused turnovers and a goal during Saturday’s 18-11 loss at Post.

GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK

JAMES DEMAKOPOULOS, Holy Family – Freshman made 20 saves, one off a season high, during the Tigers’ 18-12 victory over Felician on Saturday. Stood in front of 52 total shots. Also scooped two ground balls.

 

HONOR ROLL
ANDREW DZUBAK, Wilmington
– Tallied four goals, four assists and four ground balls as the Wildcats picked up a key league win over Georgian Court.
ZAKKERY GLATFELTER, Caldwell – Had five goals and five ground balls during a loss to Chestnut Hill.
NOAH HAMMON, Chestnut Hill – Collected five goals and three assists during the Griffins’ victory over Caldwell.
ROBBIE McGRAYNE, Post – Found the cage seven times and added two assists and three grounders as the Eagles topped Bridgeport.
JAMES NAPOLI, Bridgeport – Combined for eight goals and five assists during a 1-1 week for the Purple Knights.
AIDEN WALLER, Post – Faced 32 shots, made 12 saves and allowed 11 goals in 58 minutes of a home victory over Bridgeport.
