NEW HAVEN, Conn. (April 30, 2025) – Wilmington University junior Andrew Dzubak has been selected as the 2025 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Year. Dzubak, who was also named to the All-CACC First Team at attack, heads the all-conference teams and major award winners announced today by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara. The voting was conducted by the conference’s nine head coaches in the sport.
Holy Family University freshman attackman Jake Feeney was named the 2025 CACC Men’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Year. The other major individual awards went to Wilmington. Wildcat graduate defenseman Paul Army won Defensive Player of the Year honors, and sophomore Daniel Flynn is the Goalkeeper of the Year. Army and Flynn also claimed All-CACC First-Team honors, while Feeney was a Second-Team selection. Wilmington head coach Christian Zwickert was voted the 2025 CACC Coach of the Year, and Georgian Court University is the winner of the Men’s Lacrosse Team Sportsmanship Award.
Dzubak, from Putnam Valley, N.Y., owns 72 points on 47 goals and 25 assists in 13 games this season. His 3.62 goals per game and 5.54 points per game lead the CACC, totals which increase to 4.63 goals and 7.38 points per game in conference play. Dzubak also has 28 ground balls. He is the fourth consecutive different Wildcat to win the CACC Player of the Year award.
Feeney is the first Holy Family player to win a major individual conference award in the Tigers’ brief two-year history. With 73 points on 38 goals and 35 assists, the Voorhees, N.J., resident is the CACC’s second-leading point scorer. His assist total and average of 2.19 per game are also second in the league.
Army, of Middletown, Del., has helped Wilmington to own the top scoring defense in the CACC. The Wildcats’ 8.46 goals allowed per game rank 11th nationally in NCAA Division II. Army has picked up 35 ground balls this season and his 21 caused turnovers rank among the top 10 in the conference.
Flynn has started all 13 games in goal for the Wildcats. The New York, N.Y., native is 10-3 with a league-leading 8.97 goals-against average, a .561 save percentage (second in the CACC), and 10.23 saves per game. His GAA is 11th nationally.
Zwickert, selected by the league’s directors of athletics communications, is the CACC Coach of the Year for the fourth time. In 2025, he has led Wilmington (10-3, 8-0 CACC) to the conference regular-season championship and the No. 6 spot in the latest Division II North Region ranking. The Wildcats will host a CACC semifinal game this afternoon.
Georgian Court, led by head coach Mickey Hover, was the coaches’ choice for demonstrating class and character throughout the regular season. GCU will host the other conference semifinal contest today.
