Jefferson to Welcome 2025 CACC Cross-Country Field to Belmont Plateau

Familiar Site Will Host Conference Championship Races

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (July 23, 2025) – Thomas Jefferson University will once again host the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men’s and Women’s Cross-Country Championship meets. The 2025 races will be held at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia, Pa., on Sunday, October 26.

Belmont Plateau has been the site of the CACC Cross-County Championships for all but two years since 2000. Since joining the CACC in 2005, Jefferson has hosted several of those meets, with this year marking the third occasion in the last four years.

“We are honored to once again host the CACC Cross-Country Championships at Belmont Plateau, a venue rich in tradition and history,” said Corey Goff, Assistant Vice President for Athletics at Jefferson. “Belmont Plateau is one of the most iconic cross-country courses in the country, and we’re proud to partner with the Belmont Plateau Cross-Country Hall of Fame to continue celebrating the legacy of this historic site. Hosting this event is a reflection of our commitment to the sport and to providing a first-class experience for the student-athletes of the CACC.”

On October 26, the women’s 5,000-meter race will be contested at 9 a.m. The men’s 8,000-meter race will take place at 10 a.m. An awards ceremony will immediately follow. The Wilmington University men and the Jefferson women are both two-time defending champions. Last year’s individual champions, Caldwell University’s Joey Datta and Ana Eshraghi of Jefferson, have both graduated.

The CACC Network will provide live coverage of the event and the awards ceremony.
