ROSIO CARDENAS, Caldwell (SR, F, Forked River, N.J.) – Recorded three goals and an assist during the Cougars’ 6-0 season-opening victory at Mansfield on Sept. 4. It was the first three-goal game of her collegiate career.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

EBONI BRADSHAW, Wilmington (FR, F, Manchester, England) – Scored the Wildcats’ first goal and assisted on the game-winner of a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over No. 17 Adelphi on Sept. 4 as part of a 2-0 week.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

MARIA LEGUIZAMON, Wilmington (JR, D, Bogota, Colombia) – Center back headed home a corner kick for the only tally of Wilmington’s 1-0 victory over Bentley on Saturday. Anchored a defense that allowed one goal during a 2-0 opening week.

GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK

ARIANNA MYERS, Wilmington (JR, GK, Monroeville, N.J.) – Made five saves during a 2-1 win over No. 17 Adelphi on Sept. 4, including three during the second half to allow the offense to come back. Stopped six shots during a 1-0 shutout of Bentley two days later.

KATE BRAUN, Felician – Netted only goal of Golden Falcons’ season-opening 1-0 triumph over Staten Island.
ANGELINA GRIVA, Bridgeport – Collected five saves during a 0-0 tie against Southern Connecticut State.
CARLY HAYMAN, Jefferson – Earned a shutout in her first collegiate start in goal, making four saves in a win over St. Thomas Aquinas.
JESSICA JENSEN, Goldey-Beacom – Tallied both Lightning goals on the week, scoring twice in her collegiate debut against Shippensburg.
KYRA LESKO, Jefferson – Totaled two goals and an assist as the No. 11 Rams opened with a 4-0 win over St. Thomas Aquinas.
