Tournament Kicks Off with Sunday's Quarterfinals; Jefferson Earns Top Seed

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (October 28, 2026) – The 2026 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women’s Soccer Championship tournament will kick off with four quarterfinal matches on Sunday. The field and pairings for the eight-team, single-elimination event were announced tonight, following this afternoon’s conclusion of regular-season play, by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara.

Tournament information is available at the CACC Championship Central page at https://caccathletics.org/tournaments/?id=42.

Thomas Jefferson University (13-1-2, 11-0 CACC) has won its fourth consecutive CACC regular-season championship. The Rams, who received votes in the most recent national Division II coaches poll, are thus the No. 1 seed for the conference postseason tournament.

Sunday’s quarterfinals will be held at the sites of the higher seeds. Jefferson will host No. 8 seed Felician University (6-11-1, 4-6-1) at noon. At the same time, No. 4 seed Holy Family University (7-7-1, 7-3-1) will entertain No. 5 Chestnut Hill College (6-6-4, 6-3-2). On the other side of the bracket, No. 7 seed Goldey-Beacom College (5-10-2, 4-5-2) travels to No. 2 seed University of Bridgeport (10-2-5, 9-1-1) at 1 p.m. and No. 6 seed Dominican University New York (6-10, 5-6) will be on the road against No. 3 seed Georgian Court University (9-6-2, 8-2-1) for a noon kickoff.

The semifinals are scheduled for Wednesday, November 4, at 1 p.m. at the sites of the highest remaining seeds. Wilmington University is set to host the championship game on Saturday, November 7, at 1 p.m. at its athletics complex in Newark, Del. The winner of the 2026 CACC Women’s Soccer Championship will earn the league’s automatic berth into the NCAA Division II East Region Championship tournament.
