NEW HAVEN, Conn. (February 19, 2026) – Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference members Felician University and Holy Family University are under consideration for the 2026 NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Championship tournament, the NCAA D-II Women’s Basketball Committee announced on Wednesday.
The committee released its first set of regional rankings for all eight NCAA Division II regions on Wednesday. Teams under consideration in each region were announced in alphabetical order. Ten teams were listed as under consideration in the East Region, including the Golden Falcons and Tigers, for the eight available berths. The committee will release rankings in rank order on February 25 and March 4.
Felician (19-6, 13-4 CACC) is in second place in the CACC and has tied the overall school record for victories. Holy Family (22-3, 17-0) has clinched the conference regular-season championship, its first since capturing the South Division in 2012-13. The Tigers received votes in the most recent national Division II coaches poll
Both the Golden Falcons and Tigers have three regular-season games remaining, including a matchup with each other on Saturday in northeast Philadelphia.
The NCAA will announce the 64-team field for the 2026 Division II Women’s Basketball Championship on Sunday, March 8, at 10:30 p.m. on ncaa.com. The East Region will receive automatic qualifiers from the CACC, East Coast Conference and Northeast 10 Conference and five at-large berths.
