Dominican Claims 2025-26 CACC Women's Bowling Championship

Chargers top Defending Champion Felician to Earn Crown in Third Season

SOUTHAMPTON, Pa. (March 22, 2026) – No. 1 seed Dominican University New York won the 2025-26 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women’s bowling championship on Sunday with a 2-0 mega-match victory over No. 3 seed Felician University during the final round of the CACC Championship tournament at Pike Lanes. The event was hosted by Chestnut Hill College.

Tournament details are available at the CACC Championship Central webpage at https://caccathletics.org/tournaments/?id=29.

Dominican (70-32) earned its first CACC championship. Just a third-year program, the Chargers were making their initial appearance in the conference final. They unseated the Golden Falcons, the league’s 2024-2025 champion.

Sunday’s final saw Dominican trail by more than 70 pins midway through the traditional team segment. The Chargers’ comeback started in earnest when all five players rolled strikes in the eighth frame. Leadoff bowler Jenna Jump and Briana Sinnott in the No. 2 spot both extended to doubles, drawing the match closer. When anchor bowler Kyra Walter filled a ninth-frame spare with a strike to start the tenth, Dominican had come all the way back for a 915-897 victory. Stephanie O’Malley led the way with a 222 game and Jump finished with 211.

DUNY carried the momentum into the five-game Baker segment. Starting a lineup of Jump, Sinnott, O’Malley, Angelina Tati, and Walter, the Chargers got out to a 61-pin lead after Game 1, 208-147. Felician chopped the deficit to 30 pins following the third game, but a 206-127 edge in Game 4 put the Chargers on the verge of history. Dominican had wrapped up the championship by the seventh frame of Game 5.

Walter, a sophomore who was the CACC Bowler of the Year for her regular-season performance, was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player. Teammates O’Malley and Tati also earned spots on the All-Tournament Team.

Felician (65-41) had advanced to the championship round by defeating No. 2 seed Caldwell University, 2-0 (981-899 and 917-868) in an elimination match on Sunday morning.

Dominican earns the CACC’s automatic qualifier to the 2026 NCAA Women’s Bowling National Collegiate Championship. The Chargers look forward to NCAA Selection Show on Wednesday at 4 p.m. on ncaa.com.
