NEW HAVEN, Conn. (March 26, 2026) – Caldwell University maintained its lead after the winter season as the 11 full members of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference pursue the league’s 2025-26 women’s Sportsmanship Award. The winter standings were released today by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara. Caldwell was also ahead after the fall season.
During the academic year, a postseason Team Sportsmanship Award is handed out for each of the CACC’s 16 championship sports. The year-end overall Sportsmanship Award is determined by the total number of points received in the voting for each individual sport, separated by gender, during the fall, winter, and spring seasons. The total is divided by the total number of men’s and women’s sports in which each school competes, and that average determines the standings.
Six women’s CACC championship sports have been contested thus far this academic year – basketball, bowling cross-country, soccer, tennis, and volleyball. Caldwell, on the strength of its Team Sportsmanship Award in volleyball, holds an average of 15.60 points over five sports. Holy Family University is second, averaging 10.20 points over five sports, and Post University, which won the soccer Team Sportsmanship Award, is third at a 10.00 average across four sports.
Bloomfield College was the winner of the 2024-25 CACC Women’s Sportsmanship Award.
