Jefferson, Wilmington Remain in Regional Women's Tennis Ranking

NCAA Releases Second Set of Division II Lists

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (April 23, 2026) – Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference members Thomas Jefferson University and Wilmington University are among the seven teams listed in the latest 2025 NCAA Division II East Region Women’s Tennis Ranking, the NCAA D-II Women’s Tennis Committee released on Wednesday. Jefferson is ranked No. 3, while Wilmington is the East’s fourth-ranked team.

Jefferson (19-7, 10-0 CACC) was the CACC regular-season champion and reached the conference tournament final last fall. The Rams have a 6-6 won-lost record during the spring semester. Wilmington (15-4, 8-2) won the 2025-26 CACC Championship tournament in October and has automatically qualified for the NCAA East Regional Championship. The Wildcats are 5-2 during the spring segment of their season.

The NCAA will announce the qualifiers for the 2025 Division II Women’s Tennis Championship on Monday, May 4, at 8 p.m. on ncaa.com. The field will contain a maximum of 48 teams, including five from the East Region.

Founded in 1961, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has been affiliated with NCAA Division II for 20 years. Conference institutions compete for championships in 17 sports – seven for men, nine for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 11 full members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
