NEW HAVEN, Conn. (May 10, 2026) – Central Atlantic Collgiate Conference champion Wilmington University and CACC at-large selection Thomas Jefferson University saw their seasons come to a close in the Round of 32 of the 2026 NCAA Division II Women’s Tennis Championship tournament over the weekend.
No. 4 seed Wilmington earned a 4-0 victory over No. 5 seed Assumption University in the East Region #1 Championship on Friday. The Wildcats then fell to top seed and host Queens College, 4-2, on Saturday. The No. 3 seed Rams hosted the two-team East Region #2 Championship on Friday, losing to No. 2 seed Adelphi University, 4-2.
For the Wildcats, Siana MacDonald was a double-winner among the four completed matches during the victory over Assumption. Wilmington took the doubles point versus Queens, but Ming-Fu Chen was the only singles winner. Jefferson’s Anouk Oderkerk and Rose Huang earned singles victories against Adelphi.
Both Wilmington (16-5) and Jefferson (19-8) were making their program’s fifth NCAA Tournament appearance.
Queens and Adelphi will represent the East Region at the Division II national finals from May 19-24 in Surprise, Ariz.
Founded in 1961, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has been affiliated with NCAA Division II for 20 years. Conference institutions compete for championships in 17 sports – seven for men, nine for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 11 full members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
