Wilmington is Top Seed for 2026 CACC Men's Lacrosse Championship

First Round Set for Saturday; Top Three Seeds in Action on Apr. 29

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (April 23, 2026) – Following the final day of regular-season competition on Wednesday, Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Commissioner Dan Mara has announced the field and schedule for the 2026 CACC Men’s Lacrosse Championship tournament. The five-team, single-elimination event will begin with the first round on Saturday.

For the third consecutive year, Wilmington University (10-4, 8-0 CACC) completed an undefeated CACC regular season. The Wildcats, who received votes in the most recent USILA national Division II poll, have earned the top seed for the conference tournament. Chestnut Hill College (8-4, 7-1) and the University of Bridgeport (9-6, 5-3) have also captured first-round byes. Chestnut Hill earned the No. 2 seed with a 9-8 victory over Post University on Wednesday, while Bridgeport is the No. 3 seed.

Saturday’s first round will pit No. 4 seed Post (9-6, 5-3) against No. 5 seed Holy Family University (7-6, 4-4). The game will face off at 4 p.m. on Post’s campus in Waterbury, Conn. Holy Family is making its first postseason appearance.

The semifinals are scheduled for Wednesday, 29 with the Holy Family/Post winner taking on Wilmington in Newark, Del., at 3:30 p.m. and Bridgeport traveling to Lafayette Hill, Pa., to face Chestnut Hill at 7:30 p.m. Wilmington is the predetermined host of the championship game on Saturday, May 2, at 11 a.m. at the Wilmington University Athletics Complex in Newark. The winner of the 2026 CACC Men’s Lacrosse Championship will earn an automatic berth into the NCAA Division II North Region Championship tournament.

Tickets for all rounds of the 2026 CACC Men’s Lacrosse Championship are $10 for adults, and $5 for children, senior citizens (65+) and students with valid identification.
