League-High Six Honorees Come From Conference Champion Wilmington

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (June 25, 2026) – Fifteen student-athletes have qualified for the 2025-26 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women’s Tennis All-Academic Team, CACC Commissioner Dan Mara announced today.

To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must possess a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and be in his/her second year at his/her current institution. New for 2025-26, honorees must also be in the lineup for two-thirds of their team’s days of competition.

Conference champion Wilmington University placed six student-athletes on the CACC All-Academic Team to lead the conference. The complete set of winners can be viewed at the link above.

Julie Merlin of Post University owns a perfect 4.00 GPA. She leads a group of six student-athletes on the list who maintain an undergraduate GPA of 3.90 or higher.

The CACC All-Academic Team was instituted during the 2004-05 academic year.

Founded in 1961, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has been affiliated with NCAA Division II for 20 years. Conference institutions compete for championships in 17 sports – seven for men, nine for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 11 full members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
