Three CACC Members Under Consideration For NCAA D-II Men's Soccer Championship

Caldwell, Felician, Post Included in First 2024 Regional Ranking

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (October 31, 2024) – Three members of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference are under consideration for the 2024 NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Championship tournament, the NCAA D-II Men’s Soccer Committee announced on Wednesday.

The committee released its first set of regional rankings for all four NCAA Division II super-regions on Wednesday. Teams under consideration in each super-region were announced in alphabetical order. Twelve teams were listed as under consideration in Super-Region 1, including Caldwell University, Felician University, and Post University from the CACC. The committee will release rankings in rank order on November 6 and 12.

Caldwell owns a 7-4-3 overall won-lost-tied record. The Cougars are 6-2-1 in CACC play and are tied for fourth place in the conference with 19 points. Caldwell is ranked No. 5 in the most recent United Soccer Coaches East Region poll.

Felician (12-3-2, 6-2-2) is tied for second place in the CACC with 20 points and is ranked sixth regionally by the United Soccer Coaches. Felician’s 12 victories are the most for its program during its 21 years as an NCAA member.

Post (8-4-3, 6-1-2) is tied with Felician for second in the league and ranked No. 8 in the United Soccer Coaches regional poll. The Eagles have won the last five CACC Tournaments in which they have participated.

The NCAA will announce the 40-team field for the 2024 Division II Men’s Soccer Championship on Monday, November 18. Super-Region 1 will receive automatic qualifiers from the CACC, East Coast Conference, Mountain East Conference, Northeast 10 Conference, and Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, plus five at-large berths.

The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its affiliation with NCAA Division II. Conference institutions compete for championships in 18 sports – eight for men, nine for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 12 members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes Bloomfield College of Montclair State University, the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
