Rams, Wildcats Hold Spots in Women's Soccer Regional Ranking

Jefferson to Play for CACC Title on Sunday; Selection Show Awaits on Monday

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (November 16, 2024) – Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference members Thomas Jefferson University and Wilmington University remained among the nine teams listed in the latest 2024 NCAA Division II East Region Women’s Soccer Ranking, the D-II Women’s Soccer Committee released on Wednesday. Both teams held their spot in the ranking from the previous week -- Jefferson at No. 4 and Wilmington No. 7.

Jefferson (16-1-2) has reached the final round of the CACC Championship tournament. The Rams will face Caldwell University on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Newark, Del. The winner receives the CACC’s automatic berth into the 2024 NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Championship. Wilmington (12-5-1) was defeated in the first round of the CACC Tournament by Dominican University New York on Nov. 11

The NCAA will announce the 56-team field for the D-II Women’s Soccer Championship on Monday, November 18, at 7 p.m. The East Region will receive automatic qualifiers from the CACC, East Coast Conference and Northeast 10 Conference and four at-large berths.

The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its affiliation with NCAA Division II. Conference institutions compete for championships in 18 sports – eight for men, nine for women, and one co-ed. The CACC contains 12 members in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Membership includes Bloomfield College of Montclair State University, the University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican University New York, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
