NEW HAVEN, Conn. (November 18, 2025) – The four higher-seeded home teams were victorious in the quarterfinal round of the 2025 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women’s Volleyball Championship tournament on Tuesday. Top seeds Post University and Wilmington University will be joined by No. 2 seeds University of Bridgeport and Holy Family University in Saturday’s semifinals.
North Division No. 1 seed Post topped South Division No. 4 seed Thomas Jefferson University, 3-0, in Waterbury Conn. In nearby Bridgeport, Conn., North No. 2 Bridgeport defeated South No. 3 Goldey-Beacom College by the same 3-0 score. South No. 1 Wilmington got past North No. 4 Dominican University New York, 3-1, in Newark, Del., and South No. 2 Holy Family handled North No. 3 Felician University, 3-0, in Philadelphia, Pa.
The tournament now turns to Goldey-Beacom, which will host the semifinals and finals at the Joseph West Jones Center on its Wilmington, Del., campus. On Saturday, Post faces Holy Family at noon followed by Wilmington versus Bridgeport at 2:30 p.m. Saturday’s winners will meet in the championship final on Sunday at noon. The 2025 CACC champion will earn the league’s automatic berth into the NCAA Division II East Region Championship.
Tickets for all rounds of the 2025 CACC Women’s Volleyball Championship are $10 for adults, and $5 for children, senior citizens (65+) and students with valid identification. No. N1 POST 3, No. S4 JEFFERSON 0
The Eagles (25-4) hit .400 and held Jefferson to a negative attack percentage during a 25-8, 25-12, 27-25 victory. Kristina Peric hit .500 for Post with 21 kills, 12 digs and four blocks, while Alani Duncan put down seven kills in eight attempts. The Eagles had 10 total blocks, with Nuri Shahid-Stevenson taking part in eight. Emily McKenna led the Rams (12-13) with seven kills.
No. S2 HOLY FAMILY 3, No. N3 FELICIAN 0
The Tigers (21-8) hit .345 while winning, 25-15, 25-15, 25-16. Mackenzie Layton led a balanced HFU offense with 11 kills and teammate Ava Kidd hit .625 with 10 kills. Holy Family collected 14 service aces, led by five from Mia Wise (29 assists). Felician (10-19) saw Sandra Galas amass eight kills and four aces.
No. S1 WILMINGTON 3, No. N4 DOMINICAN 1
The Wildcats (19-13) saved a set point in Set 2 to avoid a 2-0 deficit before advancing 20-25, 26-24, 25-15, 25-23. Karla Nunez-Rivera paced Wilmington with 17 kills, seven digs and four blocks and Eliza Schneider hit .519 with 15 kills. The Wildcats also received 10 kills and 19 digs from Addison Hoover. For Dominican (8-16), Elizabeth Perez recorded 13 kills and 11 digs and Layla Shipley added 12 kills and 20 assists.
No. N2 BRIDGEPORT 3, No. S3 GOLDEY-BEACOM 0
The Purple Knights (10-17) topped the Lightning, 26-24, 25-15, 25-20, behind 15 kills and 11 digs from Hailey Jessen. Madison Mohan hit .423 with 12 kills and Camdyn Cieszkiewicz turned in 32 assists and 11 digs. Kelci Gingras had 10 kills for GBC (16-13).
