Top Four Seeds Advance to 2025 CACC Women's Soccer Semifinals

Quarterfinal Hosts Earn Shutout Victories

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (November 8, 2025) – All four home teams earned shutout victories during the quarterfinal round of the 2025 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women’s Soccer Championship tournament on Saturday. For the first time since 2019, the event’s top four seeds will advance to the semifinals.

Top seed and No. 10 nationally-ranked Thomas Jefferson University defeated No. 8 seed Felician University 2-0 to set up a semifinal matchup with No. 4 seed Wilmington University, as the Wildcats topped No. 5 Georgian Court University by the same 2-0 score. The bottom of the bracket saw No. 2 seed Caldwell University get past No. 7 University of Bridgeport, 1-0, and No. 3 seed Chestnut Hill College eliminate No. 6 Goldey-Beacom College, 3-0.

The CACC semifinals will be staged on Tuesday. Jefferson will welcome Wilmington to its Philadelphia, Pa., campus at 1 p.m. At the same time, Chestnut Hill will travel to Caldwell, N.J., for a date with the Cougars.

Thursday’s winners will meet on Saturday, November 15, at noon in the championship final to be hosted by Post University in Waterbury, Conn. The 2025 CACC women’s soccer champion will earn the league’s automatic berth into the NCAA Division II East Regional Championship tournament.

Tickets for all rounds of the 2025 CACC Women’s Soccer Championship are $10 for adults, and $5 for children, senior citizens (65+) and students with valid identification. Children under three years of age will be admitted free.

 

No. 1 JEFFERSON 2, No. 8 FELICIAN 0
In Philadelphia, the defending CACC champion Rams outshot the Golden Falcons, 22-4, and held a 12-1 advantage in corner kicks. But Felician (4-7-7) cleared a ball off the goal line and Jefferson hit a goalpost with another shot in the early going, and the Rams (15-1-1) needed until the 61st minute to break through on the scoreboard. Junior Alexa Callahan grabbed the game’s first goal and teammate Izzy Alexandre scored the clincher 10 minutes later.

No. 4 WILMINGTON 2, No. 5 GEORGIAN COURT 0
The Wildcats limited the Lions (6-10-1) to six shot attempts and notched a pair of second-half goals in Newark, Del., to earn their first trip to the CACC semifinals in four years. Freshman Eboni Bradshaw, the conference co-leader in points, put Wilmington (9-2-6) ahead during the third minute of the second half, and Sierra Bartley also scored for the hosts.

No. 2 CALDWELL 1, No. 7 BRIDGEPORT 0
The Cougars (12-2-4) were the only quarterfinal winner on Saturday to score in the first half, receiving a penalty kick conversion from sophomore Melissa Pires. Her marker came after the Purple Knights (4-8-5) were whistled for a handball in the 18-yard box during the 35th minute. Ariana Gaminara made four saves for Caldwell, including three after halftime, in Caldwell, N.J.

No. 3 CHESTNUT HILL 3, NO. 6 GOLDEY-BEACOM 0
In Lafayette Hill, Pa., the Griffins (9-7-1) struck for three goals, all by freshmen, in a span of three minutes, two seconds, early in the second half to take full control. Abby Collins opened the scoring by heading home a corner kick from CHC teammate Virginia Perry during the 48th minute. Hayden Johnston followed by finding the net twice 1:43 apart. Goalkeeper Haley Esposito backed the clean sheet with five saves, while Malaika Nunziata stopped eight shots for the Lightning (6-9-3).
